Physical properties
Solid state at room temperature
At room temperature, hot-melt adhesive is in a solid state, which is convenient for storage and transportation. There is no solvent evaporation, so it will not cause pollution to the environment, nor are there any safety hazards such as flammability and explosiveness.
Melting upon heating
When heated to a certain temperature, the hot-melt adhesive quickly melts into a liquid with a certain degree of fluidity. This temperature usually ranges from 60 °C to 180 °C, varying specifically according to the types of hot-melt adhesives.
Solidifying upon cooling
After the melted hot-melt adhesive is coated on the surface of the adherend, it will quickly solidify when the temperature drops, forming a firm bond. Generally, the solidification time is relatively short, ranging from a few seconds to a few minutes.
