People who use hot melt glue machines are aware that as the usage time increases, carbon deposits will inevitably form in the hot melt glue machine. Carbon deposits can have a negative impact on construction, so the hot melt glue machine needs to be cleaned regularly. So, how exactly should a hot melt glue machine be cleaned?
I. Operating Steps
Empty the residual glue in the glue tank of the hot melt glue machine:
Set the temperature of the glue tank to 160 degrees, and at the same time turn off the heating temperatures of the glue hose and spray gun (set to 0 degrees).
After the hot melt glue in the glue tank is completely melted, open the glue discharge valve to empty the residual glue, remove the primary filter in the glue tank, and remove all the hot melt glue from the glue tank.
Soak and clean the glue tank of the hot melt glue machine with Boiling special cleaning oil:
Add cleaning oil accounting for about 80% of the capacity of the glue tank into the glue tank, set the temperature to about 120 degrees, and empty the cleaning oil after soaking for about an hour.
If the hot melt glue in the glue tank is severely carbonized, a cotton cloth can be wrapped around a wooden stick to scrub the four walls and bottom of the glue tank, and then the cleaning oil can be emptied.
Repeat the above process with clean cleaning oil. (The oil emptied for the second time can be reserved for the next cleaning to reduce waste).
II. Precautions
During the cleaning of the hot melt glue machine, be sure to wear protective glasses and heat-resistant gloves.
To ensure that the hot melt glue is thoroughly cleaned, multiple cleanings are required to prevent residues from clogging the nozzle.
Mixing of hot melt glues of different brands is prohibited.
During the production process, please close the glue tank cover to prevent debris or dust from falling in.
Generally, the filter screen is not cleaned and is mainly replaced to ensure the pressure stability and smoothness of the glue spraying system.
