Analysis Of The Reasons Why Hot - Melt Adhesive Fails To Firmly Bond Leather

With the improvement of people's living standards, the emphasis on skin care and maintenance has increased day by day. The types of cosmetics have become more diverse, covering various functions such as moisturizing, whitening, exfoliating, and sun protection. Their packaging containers are uniquely designed, including pull-off type, screw-on type, magnetic suction type, etc. These packaging materials have a common feature, that is, the combined bonding of two materials: aluminum and plastic. Although they are all about the bonding of aluminum-plastic caps, different performance hot-melt adhesives need to be selected for pull-off caps and screw-on caps. Previously, a customer in the daily chemical packaging materials industry selected our model 378 product for the dot gluing and bonding of aluminum-plastic caps. For the same materials, the bonding effect was excellent on one product, but failed to meet the requirements on another product. At first, everyone was very puzzled. Since the materials were the same and the hot-melt adhesive for bottle caps used was also the same, why were the results different? Later, through on-site investigation, the reason was finally found. It turned out that although the customer's products had the same bonding materials, their subsequent usage methods were different. One was for pulling outwards, and the other required a certain rotational torque. For the one pulled outwards, it only needed to meet a certain bonding strength, while the rotational torque required greater self-strength and bonding strength. In response to this situation, the company developed the product 378T with higher strength, successfully solving the customer's need for rotational torque of the products. It can be seen from this that no single hot-melt adhesive can meet all the performance requirements of customers. Only by going deep into the front line of production can we discover the deficiencies and find the direction for improvement! Therefore, different performance hot-melt adhesives for bottle caps should be selected according to the pulling force and torque of aluminum-plastic caps!
